1940s Sunhat & Sewing

So last weekend, I bought my very first True Vintage 1940s Pin Wheel Hat and I can not wait to wear it this spring and summer. I also bought a mustard yellow 1950s sundress to pair with it but it doesn't fit unfortunately so I will be taking it to get a few alterations. But I thought I'd still show the hat since it is quite something. I am hoping to also find a mustard swing skirt to wear this summer.

When I tried on the dress I really envisioned a skirt version of it so either I will try to hunt down a mustard swing skirt or just make one. Speaking of making clothes... I have been slowly making plans on building a little sewing nook in my studio. I'd really like to be making clothes by June but I did not realize how much stuff I actually needed... I've seen lots of sewing rooms and want it all lol but I will start out taking baby steps since I am in the beginning stages.
