I am not proud, yet again AM PROUD at the amount of suits I have purchased over the past 6 months. But recently within the past 2 months, once in February then again in March, I acquired two 1940s suits from FabGabs. I posted a reel last week wearing the blazer from one of the suits, the one with the killer buttons and insane sleeves. This I feel like would really go off with a jewel toned blue or purple 1940s skirt. I own an indigo skirt but when I wore this blazer, she was unfortunately at the dry cleaners.

Alas, last week I snagged my very first Lilli Ann suit. She is a little worse for wear and will need some mending to really be wearable as an ensemble. But, the blazer alone is in good enough condition to be worn with a separate 1940s skirt. Also while chatting with the owner of FabGabs she sent me a vintage ad detailing the Lilli Ann I just purchased. Aaaaahhhhhhh! This is the first time I have ever bought vintage and was able to connect it to an ad. So I was so excited to see that message.

The double breasted buttons, superb shoulder pads and ballooning sleeves, my vintage heart can't take it!!

Then again this past weekend, thanks to an extremely impulsive Easter panic buy, I purchased this darling lilac or lavender 1940s maybe early 1950s suit. It does have two noticeable stains but I'm certain with a soak and a little shout I can get them out. The shoulder pads and double collar detail drew me in. I was a little apprehensive about buying that one only because she was a little pricey and I had just purchased a suit the previous week. Then the seller messaged me a discount of 55% off if I bought it within the hour, and how can a girl like me turn down a deal like that?!? I got her for under $100!
I'll end up doing a creative shoot for that suit to commence Easter and also because the listing really didn't provide me with the most aesthetically pleasing photos. To end this sort of suit soiree, I have been tempted, yet again to buy another suit... I'll update you all next week on if I fight the restraint or more than likely give in. As always, stay glamorous!
Until Next Time,
Cocoa G <3
