Dressing Room Progress

Over the weekend, I received the new carpeting for my dressing room!!! It arrived way sooner than I was originally notified, which did throw a dent in my overall weekend plans; then again, I am happy I got everything cleaned up, reorganized, and laid out over the weekend instead of it spilling into the week. Now it's just a matter of moving my sofa into the room and downsizing on some of the furniture I have in there. I really, really, really wish I had dark cherry wood flooring! Carpet is the bane of my existence, but there really is nothing I can do about it.

I'm aiming for a minimalistic glam style because that room just isn't that big, unfortunately. I wish my bedroom and dressing room bordered one another. So I could create an arch in the wall separating the two rooms and really emulate that old Hollywood style master bedroom. But that isn't my reality yet, so I am having to make do with what I have. Earlier this year, I also redecorated my bedroom, but I've yet to shoot anything in there since the changes have been made. I feel like time is just flying by so fast. I say I'll get around to something, then 2 months will go by, and I've done nothing.

It doesn't help that I have so many travel plans throughout this summer; I'm just at a loss sometimes with my day-to-day routine and feel so scatterbrained with everything I want to do. But finding some footing with my dressing room progress has been the highlight of my month. With that in mind, I'm so excited to start YouTube, more importantly, start blabbing about vintage clothing for hours on end. I've already gotten the prompt cards and theme prepared for my first video, so all of this is truly like a production to me. It has to be perfect in my mind, aesthetics are everything!

For the longest, I have wanted to blab to a camera on YouTube. I just never felt like I was ready in the past, which is so silly now that I think about it lol. It's just YouTube and not that serious, then again, it was that serious to me, and that was why I felt like I needed so much done before I could film anything. Yet again, that is the way I am about everything, which is a curse within itself. To wrap this up, I am hoping I am back to normal with shooting by this weekend with my new setup.

Thank you to all of you who read these posts. Everything I do online is a passion project for me and something I do purely for creative entertainment. So any little support really means the world, even though there is only like 15 of y'all that read these lmao. Anyway...

Until next time, and stay glamorous!

Much love,

Cocoa <3
