We're on week 3 of me pledging my allegiance towards being consistent on here, and I am back with more shots from my current collab with Weasel Wear! I first worked with them back in 2023 or 2024, I can't remember when, and was so excited to hear back from them this past February. The Contrast Gown immediately grabbed my attention because it favors the dress Elizabeth Taylor was photographed in Rome. And I knew I had to recreate that Old Hollywood starlet look.

I already posted the first bunch from this shoot, and it was everything I imagined it to be! But I knew there were still a few poses I wanted to capture, along with shooting a short clip for video purposes. So over the weekend, I did just that, and these photos came out more so/so than the first batch. I do feel like if I had one of my sofas, I could have emulated the idea I had in my head better. I don't hate them lol. I just know they could've been better.

There is a very fine line for designing vintage-inspired gowns, especially ones that are meant to emulate that Old Hollywood Starlet look. Most of the time, they're designed with 3 large fabric cuts that tend to make the garment look costumey. But this was done very well. I can see myself creating more pretty things with this dress and, of course, actually wearing it out!

Furthermore, I'm sort of on a content high at the moment. I have a few events I'll be attending over the next month, along with some spring/summer outdoor shoots I'll be shooting this April. So that means I'll actually be posting lol. I hate the idea of "posting just to post." Although I do look like this every day, posting every day is just not something I can ever see myself doing again. I tried it, and I always felt so much pressure, which, in my opinion, devauled what I put out.

Posting my Vintage Life was always just an outlet for me, and all the collabs are a major plus that I am very grateful for, but I don't see myself as an influencer. I do align myself with the idea of being a content creator. I'm more focused on building my personal brand name vs just working in the influencer realm. So certain brand work I just won't do because it doesn't align with the end goal I see for myself.

I am very vintage fashion-focused and am currently working on carving out a singular space for myself. With that being said, I will finally be posting long-form videos on YouTube again lol. The channel will be all about my vintage fashion finds, along with a creative touch towards elevated lookbooks. I tried this a few years ago and did not realize just how much work YouTube is, specifically long-form videos. And at the time, I just wasn't prepared to handle the workload and responsibility of that magnitude.

I'm in the process of naming the series and shooting an intro, but my first video should be out by mid-April! Don't hold that to me, though, lmao, because that date can easily be pushed by 30 days. With that being said, as always, stay glamorous.

Until Next Time!
